Our Process
Our design process is tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences. We start by getting to know you and your vision for your space, and we tailor a design package that will work best for you and your budget.
We are not only experts in reconfiguring and designing the best solution to your floorplans and spaces, we are technical experts in 3D and will design your project using the latest ArchiCAD BIM software. This allows us to produce not only high quality 3D rendered images, but also upload your project model to the BIM Cloud for you to explore all aspects of the design, in your own time, using the free BIMx app.
Step 1 - Initial Design Consultation
Every project starts with a paid Design Consultation.
This is an in-home, focused, working session to understand your goals, define the scope, and give you expert direction from the very beginning.
Whether you're planning a full home renovation, a new kitchen or bathroom or wanting advice on how you can improve a problem area in your home, this initial consultation lays the foundation for everything that follows.
We’ll discuss how you live, what’s working (and what’s not), and what you would like to achieve. I will offer initial insights, and perhaps uncover opportunities you may not have considered.
From there, I’ll outline the best way to work together based on your project’s needs, timeline and budget.
Step 2 - Determining scope of work and fee proposal
Every project is different!
We have worked on new-builds, extensions, back of house renovations; kitchen and bathroom design; exterior design and facade upgrades.
When we develop a design proposal we also work closely with your budget and spend time in the areas that really count.
Basic packages would include black and white 3D perspectives with a mood board to show suggested finishes and products.
Full design packages will include fully dimensioned plans, ready for the trades, possible electrical and/or lighting plans, coloured 3D renders showing the proposed finishes and fixtures and lighting and even access to your 3D project model for you to explore in your own time.
