I like to create spaces for ‘real’ people and families, not showrooms. It’s important to me to inject your personality into your spaces and I will always take time with you to figure that out. I like to design around your most loved pieces, your favourite colour and your family’s lifestyle. It is your home and it needs to feel that way.
The design process is a very personal thing. After all, we are designing a space that is going to improve your quality of life, and we have to get it right. Bringing me on board is an investment in a better future for you and your family. For this reason, I always make sure we set clearly defined design goals and budget from the beginning so you can trust we will get it right.
From the onset we need to have a really good understanding of what we are wanting to achieve. Why have you taken me on? And, I never lose track of that. If a room isn’t working for you a whole lot of fluffy cushions are not likely to fix it. My strength in design is to look at the fundamentals of the room, the function, flow and feel, and fix that first… then if it suits, we can throw in the fluffy cushions!
I believe that the place in which we live should make us feel happy, bringing a smile to our face every time we return home.
I’d like everyone to have access to good design principles, regardless of budget, size of project or location.
